The Baer Foundation is a private foundation in Omaha, Nebraska. Originally established in 1951 by E. John Brandeis, continued by his nephew Alan + Marcia Baer and now by third and fourth generation family members Ted + Kathy Baer and Zac Baer.
Guidelines & Deadlines
The Baer Foundation makes grants to
qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
To date we have helped organizations that address the following areas of interest:
Academic, Athletic, Recreation and Social Programs
Medical, Health and Human Services
Religious Organizations
Arts and Culture
Civic Projects
Requests must be submitted by letter (mail or e-mail) and must include the following details: Name of the 501c3 charitable organization requesting the donation, the purpose of the donation, the federal tax exempt ID # of the organization and the amount of the request. Please include contact information including contact name, full mailing address, phone and fax numbers and contact e-mail address. Grants will not be made to individuals or international organizations. Deadline for requests is May 31st each year. Please keep in mind that the average gift from our foundation is between $1,000. - $1,500.
